Check effective PPI, maximum print size, or the pixels needed for a finished size.

Calculate print resolution

Inspect an image (optional)

Supported files: JPEG, PNG, WebP, TIFF, PSD and PDF (maximum 25 MB).

Print standard: 300 PPI

How it works

The calculator compares pixels with physical dimensions using 25.4 millimetres per inch. Effective PPI is limited by the lower-resolution axis.

Before you use the result

PPI describes image pixels at the finished size; DPI usually describes printer output. Viewing distance, image content, print process, and product specification all affect suitability.
